Looking forward to this... What's the thinking on weapons of choice? Pre-'97 or more bomb-proof winter steeds?
(edited to add : I know the two aren't mutually exclusive, but in my garage it pretty much is at the moment!)

I did a walk of most of the course today (that's dedication for you ).
I cant believe how dry 90% of it is. I even walked a section I never bother with in the winter...and it was perfect!
Unless it pisses down this week I'll be swapping the mud tyres back off.
I'll be riding my rigid winter hack.

What are peoples thoughts on a route? We can do one with lots of big climbs or one with more technical riding.

...I'm voting more technical than climbs...a few climbs is fine but my fitness is pretty shocking at the moment!
