Proflex ODS spares or Noleen shock needed

Hi all

Got a proflex 955 I'm trying to get running again. Managed to get a spare beast frame which has provided most parts, but the ODS shock is missing a few bits.

Has anyone got either a whole unit or any spares? I'm missing the preload collar, elastomer washer/spacers and the bottom wedged spacer which fits into the seatstays. Plan is to use a spring instead of new elastomers.

Alternatively if someone has a Noleen shock for a reasonable sum, I would be interested.

Cheers!

I have a Noleen NR2 somewhere, came off the back of an 857, but I seem to remember it needs a rebuild (very boingy!!), Mick Gardner Racing can rebuild them for around £30 iirc.

PM me if you want to know more.

Heres what I currently have for the ods shock...

If the op doesn't need that and it's working okay I could use it please!

I'm likely to have a bunch of spares when I get stuck in to mine but really no idea when I'm going to have chance :?

Are elastomers available ? I'm still riding my 955 with X-link forks and elastomers front and back. I'm happy with elastomers because I use the 955 as a road bike with occasional green lanes. Where I live you don't need to get off-road for some peace and away from traffic.

Think that version of shock may have come with a spring originally? Landrover shock bumpers are the usual option for replacement elastomers 8)

I bought the 955 frame-only with elastomers, within six months the frames were available with other options that worried me so I stayed with elastomers. In fact I used to ride with a pal who bought the 855, that had a spring and a damping unit. The damping unit didn't work very well so he rode with it undamped or hard.

I tend to be an early adopter and with the importer only being half an hour away I wouldn't have been risking much but I just stayed with the 955 as it was. I eventually bought a King-Kikapoo with big travel (For those days) front and back but always preferred the 955 for X-country.

Land Rover elastomers Eh ? :D

My elastomers are still fine, I replaced them as a result of joining this forum, it was the sun that would make them hard so I've always been careful not to allow them to stand in the sun and would do a neoprene-wrap on hot summer days.

I also have a Mountain Goat tailor-made and picked up personally by my partner from Chico California. This frame has the very worst welding I have ever seen on a bike frame. Little wonder they failed and went bust.
