Proflex 856 Restoration

Hello

I have just had a look at your blog, your restoration is looking fantastic. I really like the repairs to the paintwork on the Derailleurs. I am impressed with the 'uma mini cabine de pintura com sistema de exaustão' I may have a go at building one of these myself.

Good luck

still say your puts mine to shame :(

Hi Dirt Disciple

Yes, had that happen myself, it’s the same reason I wouldn’t by a new car.

I sold the 856 to fund the 855 rebuild and to stop me building another :-)

I then saw another 856 with Girvin vectors on a Facebook seek and sell site for £30… so I now have another waiting to be built when I get the time!

Risse Shock = Nice :-)

I have had an eBay search running for a while for a set of these, alas yet to find any I can afford!

Thank Garyoneill , I worry too much about originality in the restoration , in Brazil to buy a Proflex these ( when it appears ) cost me $ 923.00 US dollars , still has the cost of parts that most lacked tuning , ink and other materials and I have spent some $ 900.00 .
As for the paint booth , a tip, if you are using a spray gun , the cabin should be higher, this I did, is to use airbrush or spray can.
I have one Y -33 Trek 1997( hawaii 5-0), a Mongoose Amplifier 1994 (AMP Research), one GT Xizang 1993 and Mongoose Sycamore 1994. The recently I sold my Giant Cadex CFM -3 1995.
My goal is to have genuinely American bikes.

Sorry for my bad english.
