Powder coating results, I like it a lot!

After picking up some sids at a price I couldn't refuse on the bay (£33!) I set out about tarting up the trusty KHS. The frame was stripped down and powder coated white and various parts have been changed to suit the new colour scheme. It's still a bit of a work in progress as I'm waiting for my new seatpost and red heatshrink for the cable outers but thus far I'm loving the results. I've put before and after shots and will soon be starting a clearout thread in the for sale section!

Nice finish 8)

Cant help thinking some fresh decals from gil m would finish it off 101% though

I think so too, although he doesn't have any khs logos. I've emailed khs directly as the 2008 alite 3000 is white with black decals so hopefully they'll be able to help. If not they do a sticker sheet with a suitable headtube sticker and a one that would look good on the top tube just ahead of the seat tube, keeping it fairly clean looking.

I've just put the heatshrink on, looks a bit orangey but definitely a worthwhile addition for all of about £3. Makes it look that little bit more special!

4.5mm. Fits perfectly over the cable outers. I bought 2 1.2m lengths which came to £3 with the postage and was plenty enough for both the brakes and gears.
