Powder coating advice

After clinging desperately to my KHS Alite colour scheme matching my judys I've just bought some black sids from the bay after a moment of weakness but they look crap! I've decided to get the frame repainted white to tidy things up but having never really considered it before I have no idea where to go, what method to go for etc etc. I understand gil is the person to go to for decals once the job is done but I need to get there first! Any advice anyone?

I have had my own bikes powder coated and they have done an excellent job, if you are going to use your bike on alot off road riding then it's best to have powder coated as it's more durable and stronger where stones is going to hit the frame but if you prefer a better finish and use it for road riding then go for wet paint like 'Argos' do them.

Powder coating is cheaper than wet paint, good luck whatever you choose for your bike.

Theres been a lot of talk on powder vs wet - do a quick search.

Powdercoat is cheap (~£35), easy, and gives a good finish, but not fantastic gloss and smoothness like wet.

Do a search on net and Yell for place local to you, then give them a call. Some places only do big production batches, but some are happy to make a few quid a frame and often done them before (which means they know about threads etc..which helps)

Cheers guys, I found a local place that'll do it for £40 and are open on saturdays so I can actually get there! I think the KHS will look pretty good in white with the black sids and black khs decals, should revitalise it at least!
