I have the Toyo triumverate of sorts...three steel frames all made by Toyo in Japan, all within about 4-5 years of each other.

So, I'm going to build one of them next, and the Yokota thread has created the question as to which one. I've been planning to do the Rocky Mountain next, but now I'm wondering if I should just pound out the Yokota and take it for a spin. There's also the small matter of a tasty GT Team Avalanche that needs to be addressed. I have all the parts to build the three, so time is the only factor. So...

...Which will it be?

Without a doubt the least cool of the three but for some reason the one which does it for me....the GT.

Yosemite, its the individual one and the one that you've put some time into.

I agree but if you have all the parts for the three , build them all together .

If the Avalanche has U-brake forks then your choice is simple; what could be cooler than 2 U-brakes on one bike?

But that 1990 GT Team Avalanche has canti bosses on the fork not u-brake bosses. Offer still stands Utah...send that 1990 my way for a 91 in Midnight Aurora?

I would build the Yokota, it looks nice and I know nothing about them and hope to find out while you build it. But so many similarities to the Rockies of the era. I assume both influenced each other via Toyo ? Along with Kona/Brodies

Go back to cuddling the Rocky on the sofa and well for me the GT would just be left at the back of the shed.. but probably just me by the looks of it.
