Just had a phone call from my parents ( I'm away working ) I'd put some of my bikes in their garage as we're having new central heating installed and they were in the way :? and they've been nicked

The ones I know are gone are,
DeKerf Team SL
95 Lava Dome 18" all original
95 Lava Dome f+f 16"
96 Kona Cindercone f+f 18"
97 Kona Kilauea, singlespeed
Orange P7 not sure of age but completely original in Nickel colour
91 Paramount

97 Tommasini Classic in blue with full carbon record
98 Pegoretti Custom in blue with white graphics and full carbon record
2002 Pinarello Prince in blue with full carbon record
Alan Cyclocross in red

If thats not bad enough my wife has taken a few boxes over in the week which as yet I don't know whats in them :? but I have a horrible feeling they probably contain a NOS Kona Cinder cone and my Hei Hei

I'm trying to get this job done today so I can come home this evening and I'll know more then, but suffice to say I'm gutted and 99% certain I'm not insured either

Crap, really sad to hear that! remember to keep an eye on things like friday ad as well as the more usual ebay.

Shocking to lose so many at once :(

Does everyone keep a record of frame numbers for something like this? Just it would be very difficult for a 'Bay buyer to know he was buying something stolen, but could be checked after on RB and returned - presumably Paypal cover this sort of thing?

Maybe even Ebay could be convinced that frame numbers should be listed in the advertisment??

Really sorry for this crap news.

Steve,

I am gutted for you, I am a police officer myself and it fails to surprise me what lengths people go to to make a bit of money, usually for something illegal, and always at the expense of someone else. Have you reported it? The sooner you report it the greater the chance of recovering the property. Let us know how you get on.

Trevor.

That's a serious bummer....what area are you in in case I see some on my patch? (Bedfordshire + Northamptonshire)

:( I am sorry to hear that, that would have broken my heart if these bikes were mine's, it's shame that there is scumbags are out there, they need shooting!

Was there anybody around when you were loading the bikes in the garage, maybe someone was watching there? I hope you will get the bikes back soon and will keep an eye out on ebay and 'local trade-it' for you.

Steve that's terrible. My deepest sympathy for you, I suppose the only positive to having so many nicked at once is that if the police find all that lot there is no question who it belongs to. I really hope they get found pronto. My Kil got nicked about 10 years ago and I was rotten about it, so I can only imagine how you feel to lose all of them at once. Mine was found by the cops (along with a house full of stolen stuff), hope yours are too.

 Fecking Hell Steve
Thats a real shocker....very sorry to hear about it.
Will keep my eyes open this side of South Wales...can't believe it...thieving scum
If there is anything I can do....give me a shout, I'm sure everyone here will echo that.
Carl
