Please explain to me a 'pub bike'?

I see so many references to a pub bike. Is it OK to ride a bike whilst p15sed in the UK?
In Australia, you can get busted for drink-driving riding a bike, a horse, or even a ride-on mower.

I quite enjoy blazing around oxford between pubs on my bike
And have been known to use pubs as way markers on longer rides

Pub Bike - A bike with beer in the water bottles or a bike you ride to the pub and is not very likly to be stolen or dosent matter if it does. It yes it is ilegal to be drunk in charge of a bike in the UK.

So here's something i've never been sure of... If you hold a driving license but get caught riding a bike pissed, can they take your license?

You can still get done for riding a bike while drunk but you wont lose your driving licence.

A few years ago a bunch of us used to ride everywhere around Christmas when the old Bill were on their annual blitz - you could tell where we had been by looking at the state of the hedges the next morning.

I remember trying to pull one guy out of a 4 foot deep ditch and four of us ending up in it as well !

There's no formal legal limit for blood alcohol when riding a bike in the UK, so you don't need to be as sober, legally, as you do to drive. If you're judged to be drunk in charge of a bicycle by a police officer you can be prosecuted, but I imagine such prosecutions are rare.

you also cannot be convicted of speeding whilst riding a bike. you can however be charged with "cycling furiously"
