I started another beautiful project during the last weeks.

Now, you may know me from my other 2 interesting build-ups that I introduced during the last 2 years in this forum.

1983 PINARELLO Montello (very first prototypes):

1983 CINELLI Supercorsa Donna lady version:

Now, in March I got hold of this PINARELLO Super Record from France. Bought it over eBay. This beauty is currently on my bench and I am in the process of planning and buying parts.

My current build-up plan besides what you see on the picture is:

* Saddle: 1980s CINELLI Volare SLX (white)
* Handlebar: Cinelli Campione Del Mondo (old logo) polished to high gloss
* Handlebar tape: Velobitz sewed leather set (white)
* Rear derailleur: Campagnolo Super Record (Generation 1.)
* Front derailleur: Campagnolo Super Record of late 70s
* Brakes: Campagnolo Super Record of late 70s
* Brake levers: Campagnolo Super Record of late 70s with natural hoods
* Bottom Bracket: Campagnolo Super Record 70-SS
* Crankset: Campagnolo Super Record Pinarello pantographed
* Wheelset: Campagnolo Record high flange hubs 36H on Mavic tubular rims
* Campagnolo Super Record Pista Pedals
* Campagnolo toe clips
* White PINARELLO leather straps
* Campagnolo Borraccia bottle
* Silca pump (full chrome)
* White cable housings

Here are some first impressions:

I also have several NOS original PINARELLO decal sets in black & white. They´re early 80s. But maybe I will use one of them. I dont know yet:

Cheers

Looking very nice with the laquer in what looks to be quite good condition?

Its in a pretty good condition. I did some touch-up work myself. Not perfect, but perfectly fine for me :)

I rather like the faded lettering - goes well with the slightly imperfect chrome and gives a lovely patina.

@flesh

Thank you! I so much love it. I dont care if it is a centimetre too small for me. Its just for day and evening fun rides. You are correct about the bottle. I might put 80s parts on it. But only the bottle & a saddle.

@hamster

True! Right now, I really dont know yet if Ill replace the decals or not. Since I got real and NOS ones, I guess I will. I never liked the reproduction decals. None of them are 100% accurate! You can always "see" that they are replicas.

Some updates:

NOS Campagnolo downtube decal put on:
