Hi all,

Was wondering if we had a Photobucket expert here on the forum?

I set up an a/c a while back and am trying to get to grips with when using my iPad as it makes it simpler than using it with my laptop.

I am though happy to use another service if anyone can recommend one.

I use it on PC and ipad with the app. bit clumsy but works ok most of the time.

Thanks for the quick reply.

Figured out how to use the app version on the iPad but would agree it is a bit clumsy but as I use the free version I can put up with it!

My 2 issues are this;

1) appreciate it might not be a PB issue but not all pictures are getting uploaded

2) just can't figure out how to organize my library. Need to as I can identify missing pics so can upload them where I have to but then can't move them in my library to where I want them to appear.

Any ideas?

You have to open the library folder and upload to it. You can't move them once they're uploaded.

Some pointers for photobucket.

If you use it for everything but create seperate folders for seperate things then make sure you mark your private folders as private.

I've lost count how many people have created a folder for liesure/sales etc and then I could also see their private folders because they did not proiect them.

What I tend to do is set up a seperate email account and a seperate photobucket account purely just for forums

Thanks for the advice.

With regards to my folders/albums I don't and will not upload links to them here on the forum, basically I'm using it to allow me to insert multiple photo's into a thread rather than using the add photo feature of the forum when posting. It of course allows me add as many pictures as I need to and will be a useful feature when updating my for sale thread.

Having checked there is an option according to Photobucket's FAQ's to sort your folders/albums manually but unfortunately I don't get that option from the sorting drop down menu. I can therefore now understand why I can't arrange in the order I want as the default setting is "newest first". I have sent Photobucket a quick e-mail ( [email protected] ) and I'll update you when I get an answer.

Got a reply from Photobucket.

They have advised that there's a known issue with the sort feature of albums for some users. They are working to resolve it and of course once sorted you'll be able to manually sort your albums.

Will update the thread when the issue is sorted.

It works ok if you can cope with the arse about face operation.

Photobucket does work but like all these things the more you use it the easier it gets!

All they need to do is get the manual sort option sorted and it'll make it easier to get your albums in an order you want.

The History Man, yes if you tap or click on an indented Photobucket picture it will take you that library. It's important to make sure you don't have any other pictures in that library you don't want other people to see.
