Peugeot NS22 Folding conversion???

Campagmatic

Devout Dirtbag
I have had this for a few weeks now,it's a Peugeot NS22 (22" wheels) I actually bought it for my wife to ride but I've had it in the back of my mind that it might make an interesting conversion. I've seen forum members convert 20" 'shopper' bikes into racers with a decent looking riding position. Would this be an option for this bike? There looks like a bit of room for a slightly larger wheel, would it take 650c somehow? or am I just going to run into problems? Nice little bike though either way.

Re:

I'd be very wary of that as a project. The 22 inch, 550A wheel size (37-490) is obsolete but there's the odd tyre still available. 20 inch (451) wheels will likely be too small and 24 inch too big. A good clean and if it's safe to ride then great.

Re:

Yeah I think I'll just clean it up for the Mrs. It would look pretty cool if I could pull it off (if it was possible) but I've got too much on at the minute for a problematic project. Cheers.
