Pedal Cone Nut

lol! no offense taken! at least both our intentions are pure! :)
sorry i'm being so slow, the Mrs jetted off to Montego Bay this weekend (she's cabin crew) so i had the chiddler all weekend = no time to get in the garage or my LBS :(
she's back tonight, so i should be able to sneak out and get my pedals torn up at least this week. as for my LBS, it probably wont be until this weekend coming for me to get a look at what he's got (he's only open thurs/fri/sat). don't put off any other ideas you have while i to get back to you, unless you have the time!

If it's anythign like the pedals I've jsut tried to service getting the cone and the outer nut to lock properly is going to be your next challenge. I gave up for now.

Yer talking to a man who thinks nothing of peeling 5 kilos of pickling onions in one sitting- I have patience (and time!).

Mounted the pedal and I'm riding the pub bike with the knackered cone, they can hear me coming in the next street- creak, creak, creak! No worries if you can't help- I'll keep looking and if I come up with anything I'll let you know. Cheers. 8)

right, so i've got the bloody thing off now.
measurements as follows:

15mm (across flats)
7mm internal diameter
6.9mm deep - only fractionally just short of 7mm

let me know if this'll do you and i'll send it over :)

 Oops, sorry about this Twain and thanks for all your effort getting your pedal apart and all but it sure seems your nuts are a lot bigger than mine?

Externally 12 mm, the axle it fits looks like an M5.

we are a fair few mill out on the external and internal dimensions, way too much to be worth the extra hassle of posting the blighter up!

Hey, I sure appreciate the damn good try you've given it though bud. Thank you for all your determined application in trying to find a solution to my dilemma, I am now scouring skips for the part, Happy Days! 8)

considering the riding temperature i endured this morning, this could well be debatable.....

no worries, sorry its taken me an age to get it apart!!
anyway, i have another set of pedals that require removing from a bike that needs shifting (to the tip) so if i manage to get this one apart, i'll let you know if any of the measurements match up :) happy hunting!
