It's metric and maybe with BSA BB, can't remember. It had Shimano sealed cartridge BB, newer cheap crank and the RD was Shimano Eagle II.

Yes, the transfers are just visible, but I identified it from the fork crown and the brazed-on "ladle" rear brake cable stop.

Weight of the frame is about 2400g if I remember correctly.

Must be the "Vélo Course Interclub Nouveau Modèle Ref. 105 NM" from 1978 or prior.

In 1980 the model "105" was offered with 3 tube 531 as the "105 NM BIS". But the catalog describes even the base model having forged drop outs.

have your researches found what years s - l employed the eyelet guide for the rear gear cable at the lower end of the righthand seat stay?

was there any connection to the square man?

did it depend upon model? or did all models receive it some years?

have in me home a '72 one down from the top sort of model which expresses this detail, hence me query

I also happen to have the 72 one down from the top model, but the condition is not so top.

I will post pictures when the sun gets back from there to here.

I would say the RD cable retaining ring was something the brothers Lejeune wanted to have on the frames. I've not seen any Savage's before the acquisition with the ring or any Carre frames with the ring outside the Lejeune brand.

Hard to say what what models had it or why, but seems like it was used from early 60s until the 80s.

me '72 is red flambouyant with chrome headlugs, crown, socks & seat stay caps

the colour differs from the opaque red of the Pelforth team machines

it is kitted with a T.A. Trois Attachees chainset, Juy Criterium gear ensemble, Normandy Luxe Competition hubs, MAFAC Racer brakes, Lyotard 460D pedals and a Lightrace headset. a previous owner replaced the plain saddle pillar with a Campag.

Model 100 or 101. Frame weight is a bit over 2000g. Prugnat 62 S lugs, Vagner DP fork crown

Takes a 26.8mm seatpost. No markings on the "willow leaf" seat stay caps.

Campagnolo 301 dropout. The spring hole on the driveside dropout is not drilled, but the extra material is still there because use of the old casting. Campy stopped pre-drilling that between 1968's "Catalogue No. 16" and 1971's "Supplement to the Cycle Catalogue No. 16".
