Parcel to go question

I recently hit BIN on a racer on the bay located in merseyside, for a grand total of £25, the seller has kindly boxed it up in a box measuring 120x80x30 he quotes a weight of 10-12kg(!)

Parcel to go seem to want near £100 for a pallet DHL collection & delivery (based on 12kg)

Dropping the weight to his lower estimate (10kg) and playing with the box dimensions (120x80x20-10mm off width) takes the cost down to a much more palletable (hehehe) £20 parcel force job.

My question is, if I book it in as this slightly shaved down size, will they collect it and deliver it OK? Will they refuse to take it ? or will they hit me with a hefty bill on delivery?

Any one had any experience?

www.interparcel.com

At your larger dimensions: £26.99+v (city link next day)
At your smaller dimensions: £6.99+v (UPS 1-2 days)

No, I don't work for them, but I've used their 'economy' service (the £6.99 one above) and my parcel arrived the morning after it was collected. :)

SenditNow Rob. £10.99 Parcel Farce 48 hour. I have sent Bikes/frames with them with no worries for size or weight, and some of them were 13kgs..
sent 2 bikes with them too, both in full size bike boxes (which were over the 'allowed' size), both came in at ~14Kg, no problemo.

Cheers guys, I went with send it now. even at max dimensions and weight they still charge a flat rate £11.99 for 24 hour delivery...good find!

I used send it now.com with the Rudge I sold recently, 23" plus size frame only front wheel off, easily 35kg plus for the bike alone, box way outside size requirements. Sweet talked the pick-up guy who initially refused it and we were away.

+1

Oh but be careful you could get your parcel returned with an extra charge (all info on their site) unless you show as much leg as I do
