Sometimes big crack, sometimes small. Also they corrode quite badly.
Unlikely you'll find better condition ones without paying a lot more though.

No, I've seen a few come and go and these have been the best cost/condition I've seen - I'll get a proper look at them tomorrow. I'll try and get some macro shots of the brace too... post them here so we can all go blind looking for cracks :)

So I picked them up this morning. They look pretty good aside from the small patches on the stanchions, another thing I need to try and sort...

Anyway, can't see any cracks on the braces though there is a bit of corrosion, what's the best way to take these back to bare metal? I've never had anything made of Magnesium before!

I'll do some photos later though I doubt they'll be of much interest as I'm sure you all know what these forks look like :) they'll hopefully be more of use to Tim when I contact him.
