Pace Rc200 F3 brake problems

Retro Guru
Hello again folks,
I have a problem fitting v brakes to my f3. :?
I cannot get the v brake blocks in line with the rim.
As this F3 frame was probably produced before v brakes were around - am I stuck with using cantis?
When I have taken measurements of the brake boss positions on both my f3 and my f5, I find that the f5 has no problems with v brakes and that there is a difference in the positions of the brake boss on the two frames.

Come on you Pace gurus - please shed some light on this for me.

get a set of maguras on it, im not sure if the studs are designed specifically for them, but they should fit, and be quite appropriate on a pace.

clearly your frame is fubared... i'll take it for scrap if you want

vs should fit - play around with the brake body washer things, or buy maguras

is it XT V's - as I have had real problems getting them set up - either the pads line up but there's no spring tension (with the screws fully in) or the pads do not line up and the tension's fine... I must be doing something wrong??

The F3 has adjustable spring tension holes in the brake studs, that might sort out your spring tension problems. I'm still running cantilevers, and they're always a pain to set up. I'm thinking about maguras myself...
