Pace Guru's This Way Please

Is the BB on my RC-100 oversized? (i.e. wider than standard?) :?

I am pretty sure it is and is the cause of my lack of granny ring shifting. The front mech hits the seat tube before it makes it to the granny.

I installed a new bullseye BB I sourced from Germany some years ago and the shifting has never been any good. Perhaps the axle is a tad short.

Rat look single speed it is then!!!

Cheers

Matt

On another note does Guru's need a ' or is it Gurus?

I'm not a Pace Guru, but it does sound like your BB axle is too short - but it would look visibly wrong, probably with the axle taper begining in the BB shell .

Now to your real question :)
Adding an apostrophe doesn't make it plural :)

It's a pet hate when I'm reviewing docs (though I'm not an expert and hardly practice what I preach).

It's Gurus (plural) - only Guru's if it was posessive (e.g.) Guru's Pace (singular - Guru owns the Pace)). If it was a shaered ownership scheme, " The Gurus' own the Pace"

Add an apostrophe to show possesion - easiest was is to ask yourself "who owns it"? Adam's etc.

Otherwise it's for an abbreviation. Who's (who is) etc.

(lame excuse)...awaits to be corrected, and you have to excuse my spelling and grammar as I'm on a PDA :) (/lame excuse)

...and so endeth today's lesson...and I'm not a teacher ! :)

Thanks for that, you are right on both counts (I think).
:)
However Guru's looks much nicer than Gurus, which is the main reason I used it!!!

True Retrobike philosopher.

Don't matter if it works as long as it looks cool.

Respect. :D

Lol reread my spelling - ! I'm sticking with the pda / "keyboard" requires microscope excuse :)

If I corrected it all I'd get RSI
