I found this most excellent web forum whilst searching for info about my 1989 Muddy Fox Seeker. I used to have one (from 1989 to 1995) but part ex'ed it for a motorbike, and have recently been hankering for it. With no trace of it's whereabouts, I managed to get one for £34 off eBay a few weeks ago, and have been busy restoring. I'll sort out a seperate thread about it.

I'm in Jersey (Channel Islands), and used to do a lot of biking around the island. Looking forward to getting back in to it :-)

Cheers,
Dave.

Erm, that should of gone into the "The MTB Introduce Yourself Here Thread V".

Hey buddy, welcome to the mad house. Great that you will now be able to relive your fond bike memories.

It's a bit addictive so don't be surprised if bikes appear to multiply around your place ;)

Get some pics of your project up when you can, we love pics.

Welcome, look forward to seeing your restoration.

Out of curiosity, what Motorbike did you part chop your bike on?

Ahhh... the very reason many of us are here.

Be warned, madness (and empty wallet) this way lies.

I had some of my old retro bits (wheels, mechs etc) lying around and decided that It'd be cheaper to build an 'old' bike than buy a new one after a 10 year cycling hiatus. That was 2010. I now have a garage full of my 'unicorns', an unhealthy bank balance and a keen eye for a bargain*.

*Bargain

noun.

1. Useless cycling related tat that your life partner considers skip fodder.
"Why is your latest "bargain" sat in the kitchen?"

2. ANYTHING you wanted at some point in your life, can now (barely) afford, but have no use for.
"I couldn't pass up that broken deerhead mech, I haven't seen one for sale in 20 years."
