I know most of the parts are 5 years newer than the F&F but to be honest deer head and the period parts this had originally when I bought it were decidedly frail. Not to mention the solid axles that had a habit of snapping.
I am happy with the 'still vintage' look even if the purists among us crave authenticity. The rider is even more authentic and vintage, so there :)

I know some of the folks here will think this is sacrilegious, however I put the old Peak Finder on a weight weenie diet and shaved off 3KG !! - now weighs in at 11.5 kg.

I did like the 'crush anything in its path' klunker style before, but this is now a whole lot easier to hustle along and with 52:11 gearing, surprisingly rapid.
