OT: Help please

I apologise if this is the wrong place to ask this type of thing. If it is and you could direct me to the right place please do so.

I have acquired a falcon milk race special in dire need of a refurb. Before I started though I wanted to know whether it was worth it.

It is the same as this

But in much worse nick. My question is how much is the frame worth and is it any good? The sticker says Reynolds 501 single butted tubing.

Depends what's up with it...

* No sentimental value / bike not desirable = don't go to town on a refurb
* If it needs a repaint and a whole bike's worth of new parts, I'd buy a new bike
* If you like it and all that stands in your way is new tape, WD40 and elbow grease, do it. There will be local powder coaters near you that can make your frame look new for hardly any money. I used to pay £30 but I guess things will have changed in the last couple of years.

Thanks for the reply. With a very quick look, it looks like it needs the wheels truing and probably a new set of brake cables. The handle bars have had no tape on are very rusted, beyond saving. So quite a lot really.

I know a powder coater who will do the bike for 35 pounds.

Does anyone know what a Reynolds 501 tubed frame is worth?
