Hi

Any thoughts on the value of this?
Bought it for my wife but she doesn't like it and it's too small for me so looking to sell it.
All seems original, except for the tyres - the innertubes were exposed through the perished sidwealls :(

Re:

Looks in fairly good condition from the pictures. Looks quite small, I would guess around 15" and the 17.5" amd 19" are more attractive to buyers or at least the market is bigger.

The Muirwoods was close to the bottom of the Marin range. That said it's still a very capable bike, especially if the buyer upgrades the kit a bit.

In summary I would say value: Worst £80 and at best £120.

Good luck

Mark.

Cheers Mark

Centre to centre it's 15.5" - I'm 5' 10" and it is just a bit too small.

I wouldn't pay £80 for it. The paint finish is damaged and rust is peeping through -i you want a rusty bike you could buy something for a fiver.

Conversely, it is complete and original, so as a candidate for a restoration it's worth more than a junk shop snotter.

So, worth more than a heap, worth less than a really tidy one. £50-60 would be my limit - I've bought better spec Marins for not much more than that.
