looking for some info on a frame i just picked up

steel frame going on the flick and ping test seems to be quite a high end tubing
its been resprayed so cant see any tubing decals or frame numbers
11/8 head tube bosses for v or canti,cable guides on head tube and shifter bosses on down tube and 3 sets of bottle bosses
700c too big,24 too small,26 wheel just right clearence for 1.25/1.5 inch wide tyre though which has me pointing to one of there touring frames
tried on the web but can only find details of tandem frames
any info greatfully recieved
