Orange P7 Restoration: Headset

I'm completely new to the site and need some help with an Orange P7 restoration if possible please.

I have a 1997 nickel frame in good condition with a set of Pace RC36 forks which has a 1" Cane Creek headset installed.

I might be able to justify an upgrade to the headset so long as I can find something worthy but am not having much luck. I know Chris King still do one but ideally I wanted a Hope headset.

Does anybody know if a 1" Hope headset has ever existed? and if so am I ever likely to find one?

I don't ever recall their being a 1" Hope headset. Only their more modern offerings. Which are 1"1/8th +.

Cane Creek sounds ok to me though.

There are a few headsets that do seem to suit the 1" Clockwork/Prestige/P7 headtube, Campagnolo Record for one, the silver would look good with the nickel frame?
