Orange Gringo

Ann's Orange

Retro Newbie
I've got an original Orange Gringo, in fizzy orange, with Manitou Spyder forks, I don't use it. I need to clean it, but, once done, thoughts anyone on sale value?

I think I have the receipt, I bought it new circa 20 years ago. I am not an MTB, but shock horror a roadie... it was my 6 miles each way commuting bike at the time... so it's done very little off road work in it's life. Paintwork is very good, I've never even changed the cassette nor chain....

Ideas please? I can;t just leave it and sadly perhaps one of the stable should be rehomed.....

Thank you.

I'll wait till the weekend when I can see it, and give that one a clean! Never ending bike cleaning season is upon us!

Ok photo's as requested. I am looking to sell the bike... You would need to change the tube on the front. I don't have an MTB tube. That said as you can see it's in very good condition for it's age. It's not been used off road. The forks are still fine, bearings in the wheels are good (but not ceramic bearing good!), the rear and front mechs all work, pedals fine, brakes are also very good and don't require changing. The saddle is not original but everything else, other than tyres is.

I have never changed the chain, but it's all working! I've spent ages cleaning the cassette and the bike today, so... the thing that has happened is the cable stop has broken ,see photo, and if the cable stops jumps out then the front mech will not work. However, I do have the little bit still so it can be welded back or a repair can no doubt be effected with a cable tie or a then steel band to hold it in place....

Offers? ideas on value?
