are they any good?

Want a white A-headset, and this seems to be the only other option to an FSA.

Any comments gratefully received

I have used one... Seemed ok, smooth, solid feeling and light... Just doesn't carry the name King  I would happily use another :D

Pah, King...........Schming, dunno what all the fuss is about... :P

Cheers for the input guys, at I know they're not junk if I decide to get one now..

Mongo III is nothing liek a mongo II, just in case you were wondering. .
No needle rollers here! Not that light (but strong enough for trials), low stack, and otherwise nice enough seeming headset.
Yup, kings IMHO aren;t of the best design from an engineering standpoint (and well discussed at various times on the forum).
Slamma jamma has twice the bearings and twice the load capability,
Torro pro and Mongo 2 are beautiful needle roller devices for threaded setups (we're retro and all threaded, yes?).
Finding any of the above is tricky.

And like the Mongo question, no a modern slamma jamma is not like an old slamma jamma. ..
