On One Going Retro - Fat Chancer?

Oh, and I think you missed the humour in my original post, I refered to the rust that nestles in Fat Chance's rust bucket seat tubes, my comments were meant to be taken as a joke :D

How cool does that sound :o I hope they do an aquafade or grello or summat 8)

Si, legally you can send them back to them and not Magura, you didn't buy them from Magura, they are breaking consumer law and I would pursue them on principle.

^^What he said^^

Consumer direct would be delighted to help with this. Give them a call; they're easy to talk to and they'll show you what you have to do next.

Lets not get sidetracked by the forks, I'm sorting it and feck them. Consumer Direct are wishy washy and by the time you have wrote this, done that, sent this, provided that I'll be an old man and unable to ride.

The debate is about the cheeky sods cashing in on our heritage and the whole retro vibe. Burn 'em I say!

What would you say if another manufacturer said they were going to release a retro inspired bike, modern tubing and retro geo? I mean taking On One out of the equation. And say the bike was the Yo Eddy.

I'd say they would be bankrupt in a month. Retro Geometry* should stay where it was- in the past. And has tubing improved much in the last decade? True Temper triple butted, Tange Prestige and Columbus tubing was/is as good as it gets. The accuracy of the butting has improved (so less waste of rejected tube at the framebuilder) but the raw material hasn't changed a great deal.

As for calling it the Yo Eddy?? its like the constant rehashing of films by Hollywood. Its just never as good as the original is it?

By the way, its all gone quiet over at Off Road Toad again. Any news?

*It could be said that the slack head angles seen today is a hark back to the 80's bikes that we had before the racerboy 90's stuff.
