exactly my thoughts, but paint can cover some sloppy weldno idea, but I want it.
Not seeing anything that would suggest piss poor build to be fair. Backed up by the fact I've got 2 inbreds that show good workmanship so wouldn't expect anything less.exactly my thoughts, but paint can cover some sloppy weld
Yeah, I have a Titus from planetX - super happy with build quality. I only meant if it is custom built frame then who knows what is under the paint. Although I agree it looks great and there is no indication whatsoever. But the question is, is it OEM spec? Not seeing anything that would suggest piss poor build to be fair. whilst I've never seen a sliding drop out 456, the work on those drop's looks impeccable, so I think they are from factory. They did do it on the first 456, just not seen it on an Evo II. I wouldn't be surprised if it's a prototype, as Planet-X have a history of that sort of stuff.Yeah, I have a Titus from planetX - super happy with build quality. Just to clarify, did they or did they not have sliding dropout on the 456? Yeah, it is lovely. I should have asked around before it was taken offA quick search of t'internet doesn't reveal any Evo (or Evo 2) with the curved brace by the disc rear mount. Added to non-standard decal layout, I reckon it's something custom made or a re-painted prototype.
Lovely though. Despite having had one in the past, I'd totally missed (or completely forgotten) that it's two separate tubes connecting the lower seatstays to the seat tube. So easy to disregard On One's to the graveyard of simple budget bikes.
I doubt they made a production run but never say never for a one off prototype.did they or did they not have sliding dropout on the 456?
In 2013 Brant said of the Evo 2 on MTBR "Geometry identical, tube shapes and profiles more optimised for lighter weight, better ride.you are certain it is an Evo 2?
