Can anyone identify the Year, Model of this beaut :)

My mate found this in a skip at his work would you belive, I have had a trawl through the archives and online and cant find any info. He is keen to build this up.

I can make out its a CB from the decal remains but more importantly is the beautiful fillet brazing. Its almost a racing green and has the pin stripe boxes painted on the tubes and key places.

In a SKIP!!!!

Whoever put it there deserves the worst possible punishment.

But on the other hand - nice find :D

Hi, It looks like a 1949 Claud, before 1950 the first digit is the year, after 1949, two year digits were used i.e 50????, the second position is usually the month, so it looks like october due to the lenght of the serial number, the mudguard tabs on the rear stays support the date. Nice frame, very light, it should restore okay. Terry

That looks very 50'ish to me..........will it need a clip type headset?

Good find though

You might have difficulty ratting it up......maybe sell it and buy something easier which is newer :)

NO - do not 'rat it up'! Pleeaase! If it is structurally sound (ie no internal rusting, good threads, not out of track etc.) then it is well worth restoring properly and could be a real showstopper. It looks as if it is a 23" c-2-t size? As it is a fillet braze CB it could well have been built by Bill Grey who was very adept at this form of building during his time with CB.

How much to get it up to Yorkshire?
