Yes the brakes are great. Found some nos packets of madison Aztecs, so used them. Wofk really well.

Aesthetically i actually prefer the 610/750 999 style, bit chunkier.

As for the saddle, i got shot of my springy Brooks and wrights stuff, might keep an eye out for a b17 instead.

B17's are best friends I love mine,I'm actually after a sprung leather saddle if you hear of one I'd be interested...
