Fella brought this in today. He said he got it from the old gaffer back in the very early days. Apparently him and Paul went over to Orange and they custom made it for him. He ended up building 1st Stif website apparently!
Got "OG" Stif sticker and evrythin.
We'll get 'er fettled up. Re-issue Smoke tanwalls to order if there's any left. Few cables. Chain. Fingers crossed that's all it'll need but we'll see.
I'll make sure the bar gets flipped 😳
I'll try convince spanners to get the fork moving. But they're not keen. It's seized. Rare we get something this old for service these days. Last retro bike I remember was a Tazmon, oh there was a nice Klein too actually...
Ooooo, look at them seatstays!
Man's got good stickers placement skillz too. 😎

That's a 1991 Aluminium "O"
The non replaceable rear drop out marks it out as a Gen 1 or 2
If the top tube cable guides are Riveted...it's a Gen 1. The frame number will be something like A9102XXXX
If the top cable guides are welded...it's a Gen 2. The frame number will be something like A106XXXX

Nice....starting out on a similar build myself as a 'twin' to my black "O"
Good to see a 17" frame with Manitou's and Syncros as inspiration!

That's a 1991 build and a half, even has the 91 stem n all that.
Lovely
