love this thread so i thought i would show my GT sts dh and my newly aquired GT lobo.
The sts 's history, my friend bought this bike 6 months old from a chap who used very little, my mate used it a handfull of times but hated the ride so he hung it from the rafters in his garage where it stayed for years until i bought it from him for a steal of a price, I've been using it for work and cruising around but apart from that its done very little work and is all original apart from the bars which my mate swapped to another bike.
The Lobo i recently bought and was very lucky and got it for a very good price on eBay partly due to the seller only listing for 3 days and ending the auction at 5 o'clock on a week day when everybody is at work or commuting home. Its a steve peat replica and its really nicely done even down to the odd size levers and little stickers in the right places. It has the bigger shock on it which was only given to pro or team riders, apparently its a proper team frame and shock but who knows. Is there anyway of finding out who's bike this could of been???
Now that I'm getting back into biking again after a long break due to family and kids etc I've bought a specialised stumpy 2015 so the plan is to restore the sts and get the lobo all checked out and serviced etc so i can use it on retro rides.
