So what do you do when you want a as new Deore XT rear derailleur and Deore thumbshifters, well you buy a full bike lol and in this case a time warp Offroad Proflex 552 which has barely turned a wheel since new.
Apart from the perished elastomers for the rear which squished soon as you sat on the bike everything is perfect,some of the brake blocks still have the raised knobbles so the brakes have barely been used basically everywhere you look on the bike is just new.
I'm now left with a conundrum with what to do with it, i sort of like its looks which are growing on me but i've never really been a fan of full suss retrobikes apart from the GT RTS and Steve Peats Verlicchi the others have never interested me.
Anyway it shows that there's still time warp machines hiding away to be found.
