Over here the carriers offer family contracts with up to 5 phones, 3 of which would (obviously) go to children. If you have that there, that could be the reason for the new age verification.
You can take contracts out for minors. You place it in your name and give the phone to the child. I've had contracts since I was fourteen. These pages came up on orange. Virgin and my current with three. There usually legitimate. I would get on with it. The companies need to protect child safety online on handsets.
I had this earlier in the week and rang O2 to ask about it. An hour later I was able to go back to monkeysinpantyhose.com without any issues, well apart from the normal issues a couple of minutes later...
Had the same, don't own a credit card so I phoned up the service line and told the man to 'make porn come back on my phone', he was so surprised by my straight talking approach that he did it there and then.
I went into the O2 shop today (on holiday ) asked them to unlock it and they wouldn't ! :? I had visa debit, Amex and photo ID cinema card but by their rules - I didn't pass the criteria of passport or driving licence ...
30 mins later, in the same shopping center, I came across a second O2 shop (why in the came center ?) and thought I would have another go. 2 mins later with no questions other than name, phone number, post code etc I was unlocked and ready to go without showing any cards or ID etc !
Now I can get back on my favourite 'lottery' site ...
