Not Exactly Gravel

No worries. I'm actually grateful you brought it to my attention., better to address it now, than after I've invested time on the finish. It's funny I didn't notice it myself, now it's all I can see
Yes agree better to do the work now, I just kept seeing it and thought I am sure it's not an illusion.

Is a 'bend' like that not technically structurally safer than let's say a proper dent that has squished the metal in one certain spot?

Haven't checked alignment yet. If it isn't too far off, I might just leave it, as it fits the spirit of the build. One of the gents at the other forum suggested I could work it out by jumping on it a bit which sounds like fun
That was why I asked, if the alignment isn't too bad I'd leave it and not bother. The bend looks like it's over a long section, and instead of a deep centered crease type dent/buckle its a long sloping type bend, I doubt it'll have moved the dropout much.

Frame straightening, Canadian style. I clamped two hockey stick shafts to the bent stay to squeeze it back into shape IMG_20221028_144134289.webp IMG_20221028_143030127.webp
I will either end up with a straighter stay, or two pieces of lumber that match the curves of the stay. IMG_20221028_145910351.webp
I'm not sure how long I should keep its leg in the splint to allow for proper setting, but this is where it's at now.
I put a couple of axles in to keep an eye on dropout alignment during the process IMG_20221028_145258547.webp looks straight enough for Matti, I won't do much more to the frame.
