Not Exactly Gravel

Haha Depends on the season, I'm starting to pack on the winter weight. Never too much over 200lbs though. I'm not worried about breaking them, just griping about the effort of cleaning them up
Another 100 and you can join the club of Imlach sized riders!

I wouldn't clean them up too much, the rust makes it look even better. Just clean up the bits that go in the bb and add a bit of rust converter, treat the actual arms with some BLO and then wax them once in a while.

I don't know if I can do it. I haven't run drop bars since the eighties, it's kinda against my creed. These were on a bike heading to the scrapper, so I got them free, no loss if I hate them. View attachment 671616
But I do like the stem, nice little ridge down the middle View attachment 671609
Think drops are gonna look perfect on this, I always loved the look of drops but don't ride them as I'm not very flexible due to my weight. If all fails you could try some slight rise porteur type bars?

Damn, after I saw this thread I found a CCM rambler online - one with the rare double top tube - that's my size. They want a ridiculous amount for it though.

One like this? IMG_20221018_170602.jpg
That's one my buddy finished this summer in the 28" size, the thing is MASSIVE! I'm hoping to find one in 26" for the "not exactly mountain" bike. I don't think that model is a Rambler, that's either a Double Bar (above), or Motorbike (below)

You don't need to be flexible for drops if you get the bars waaaaay up. A Nitto Technomic stem is good for this. Nitto Dirt Drop stem works as well.
