Would those be the stock decals for this bike when new? They really make the bike look cheap IMO, Raleigh Activator-esque.

They were fitted to some M-Trax I think maybe some dyna tech @Markybeau will know as he's into dyna techs

Been meaning to post some details of my recent Raleigh Randonneur build.




The idea was to build something to use for audax rides and commuting. I’d had a Randonneur frame a few years ago, but it was a bit long in the TT [long legs short body syndrome].

What that build did show me was how good the frames are. The 708 tubes are heat-treated mang mol like 753, but with a larger diameter top tube and ‘special section’ internal bracing to increase strength [8 internal flat sections according to wikipedia].

I'm thinking that this might be 'restored NOneSense'. Head badge on seat tube, RSP decals...hmm...

We've got a market for nice steel tourers, but you can't get too near a new marin nicasio in price - we sell a lot of them.


Its safe to say that good brakes and accessible gears go further to making a bike attractive to a new owner than the difference between butted taiwanese cromo and Decent, British reynolds sixfriedfish or similar.
