NOS merckx steel frames (lots of)

Have you tried searching 'international items'? A lot if stuff is off the radar to ebay.co.uk

It's better to do an advanced search of eBay.com

Re:

I would still want some verification/provenance of how these new unpainted frames a: left the factory in this state and b: how so many came to be in Poland.
There is most likely a credable story but I would want some proof. I have never heard of Merckx selling on unpainted frames from the factory, certainly not in bulk. Dealers could buy unpainted or they could request a colour for a certain market. Maybe the dealer for these requested unpainted.
I should piont out that I am sure they are genuine but it never hurts to check, may hurt not to :(
I read on a forum last year how a gentleman recalled visiting a shop in Hungary several years back and was told of some NOS Dura Ace stuff. He went with someone to have a look and said the stuff was great, NOS 7400 but he was more intrigued watching a couple of guys in the back of the workshop welding, painting and generally building NOS Coppi frames. It sort of stuck with me as I was looking at a Coppi frame in Hungary as there were several people with a good haul of Coppi's in Hungary.
I wouldn't believe most things I read on the internet but I would maybe keep it in the back of my mind when looking to purchase and buy more with my head than my heart.
The Merckx frame in the link is also not cheap in my mind once you factor in paint.
My two cents ;)

Re:

I personally would be asking a few questions as this one doesn't look like any corsa extra I have seen. The seat tube hole? and the big one......anybody?.......where are the lugs?

Just doesn't look right. Some of the rest look fine and I stand corrected on the price of some of them, once converted they seem OK but a nice paint job could get you a nice secondhand frame and then some.
Most have something odd about them and personally they look like they have been 'aged'.
I would walk away briskly ;)

They look very pukka to me. Obviously it would be nice to see an original invoice from Merckx, but the frame numbers are going to be pretty hard to pull off. Merckx keeps a comprehensive register of build numbers.

From the volume of stuff the guy is selling he's probably a shop dealer or am ex team mechanic. It could well have been an unused order for Polish team bikes, which were never painted up. I've seen Polish bikes at the World's events and they are generally from European (non Polish) builders.
