No love for the Iron Horse(s)?

They seemed to appear at the time when everyone was obsessed about weight. And they chose the name 'iron horse', two things which are considered heavy.

I don't remember seeing a lot of them around here BITD (Vancouver). Similar to Barracudas. The brands didn't last long in their glory days and they didn't have huge market penetration before the brands were bought up by Pacific or Huffy and mass marketed. I think I've seen one on Craiglist.

Iron Horse was based out of New Jersey (IIRC). They went bankrupt in the late 90s due to mismanagement. They had a rich history of not making their DH bikes.

The name was bought by Doral. They supply low to mid range bikes to multi-sport stores the likes of of Sport Chek and Sportmart, although they have done some nice DH /freeride frames like the Sunday World Cup. Probably outsourced to someone.
