It is I suspect why the prison authorities fail to do anything about prisoners having mobile phones. Clearly the techology is there to use, but either the laws prevent them or they are not that bothered about inmates organising crime from the luxury of prison.
But I do agree, we do need mobile phone free space, as has anyone ever considered how less stressed it was before we had mobile phones, and I am not going back many years here. My first, a Nokia 100 brick I had in 1993 when it was reported only 16% of the population had them.
But as I age my cell phone is quite often left at home, or flat somewhere in my home, not really because I intend that, but because it is less stressful having to think about the bloody thing all the time.
I have a pal who is always on his android down the pub, so much so I am threatening to bring in my thumb cuffs and see how he fares with those on.
But as I regularly engage in pub quizzes it interesting to note those who are always on their mobile phones, the bloody androids, they are clueless when to comes to answering quiz questions, it is as if they have no knowledge, for they have got used to depending on the internet via their phones, and I am talking degree qualified people here too. Us thickies are the question answerers, we have the knowledge, where the degree qualified seem not to, which could be they have not learned how to retain information coz it's all available via the bloody android.
