Coming down from the Malverns and got thinking while walking the dog, haven't uploaded pics as I am still coming down from a great time (read tired) haha

Here's the general rule of this game.....

Trail of fame (wall of fame rip off haha), who'd you like to go for a casual ride with, have a chat, a pint, pasty etc with. Mythical person such as Zak Tempest, someone who's no longer riding with us such as Steve Worland, John Tomac etc etc, whoever you like.

One person per post though, to get you thinking ;) and why?

Im lucky enough to have ridden with Charlie and Joe so gonna pick.....

Jo Burt, creator of Mint Sauce and other cartoons for cycling and beyond. Don't know if its because I felt I got it..... early in life, the philosophical reasoning surrounding chasing something you've already found? the artwork, I enjoyed art, doodling and cartoons heaps when I was growing into a young adult....... I'm aware he's quite subdued and doesn't like bullshit, so a ride through the Peaks or Dartmoor to discuss our reasons for why this is why......... and cake.

I'm going to go with Jacquie Phelan, on her turf. She's always seemed to have such a great outlook on life, down to earth, no BS and was there right from the beginning. Added bonus would be the guided tour of Fairfax and the surrounding area.

@longun, can Paul Brodie come on my ride too please?

She was on my short long list! Along with her partner Charlie Cunningham. As you can tell, I think I need another dog walk to decide...

I had a 2 hour Skype chat with Jacquie, most of what we chatted about can't be shared lol, she's ace, and I've a few locks of her dreads..... that was a cool and interesting gift!

Right, no dog walk needed, but having a quick break from 3D modelling software that's doing my head in today.

I've gone with Charlie Cunningham. Sadly I would need to rewind the clock as he's not in good health anymore since his accident back in 2015. Jackie has been amazing at looking after him over the last decade:

He's an engineer/designer/maker/creative a bit like myself and would love to get insight on how he designed and developed the numerous bikes and products he has over the years. Both him and Jackie have a very similar outlook on life and love nature and the outdoors as do I. 🍃

The challenge would be leaving his workshop in the first place as I suspect I would be stuck in there for hours (or perhaps days!), plus he has a treehouse (always wanted one as a kid and still do!) and then at the end of the ride we could pop to the Marin Museum of Bicycling in Fairfax https://mmbhof.org/

And there is also a chance mid ride we might bump into Jackie Phelan and Adrian (@raidan73 ) but obviously I would just give them a polite nod as not to break the rules set out by @longun in post 1 of this thread! ;)
