No body loves me

this sort of stuff massively upsets me.

still, at least they let it go rather than killing it.

one of our dogs was found abandoned. she's pretty happy now though, i think. i hope

@ IDB1..

While i would agree that some dogs are old and have problems, would you advocate this for the NHS. It would save Billions of £'s and free up many hospital beds, and care home places

We should really be looking at breeders who breed un-necessary amounts of dogs, and then dump them when they dont sell; people who treat dogs as accessories, ( i know of i couple who dumped their dog because " their kids had left home so they didn't ned it anymore" ), and people who really just don't think about the future; " we're have a baby, and so i don't want a dog around any more". YES it happens

1kers

Dave

tried most of them .

but as I said , they wont discuss dogs they have over the phone . we even had a visit from the battersea center which gave us a good report .

spent a lot of week ends travelling about to be told sorry we dont have any dogs suitable for you .

they still all wanted our money though .
I am not saying they are all bad , but got fed up with it .
we once found a dog we liked in battersea in london , only to be told nobody could see us that day to talk about it .

was a lot easier to just buy one

shame really .

Ours is a Dogstrust dog. She did two stints in there, first owners took her as a pup, named her midget and claimed not to want her as she was a chewer... We gave her her second proper home and she's been with us since, never chewed anything she shouldn't... Apart from her bed as a pup. £55 donation to Dogstrust... Well worth it to know all the money is going back to help the dogs.

I believe the RSPCA does destroy dogs they can't rehome... But many private shelters will turn up and try to shelter the healthy rehomeable ones before they meet the vet. It's horrible, but understandable.

All our pets were rehomed, all of them are fantastic animals. Two cats and the dog.

Pointless argument..

Not really. We went to see my wife's gran last night. She is in a hospice. A bag of bones, doesn't recogonise anyone, wearing a nappy, drugged up and full of cancer, can't move, can't speak, day in day out. She's been like that for 18 months.
If it were a dog the RSPCA would have us in court by now. It's deeply upsetting and if I were allowed I would let her rest. Poor old thing.

I can't beleive that in this day and age we allow people to suffer in this way yet it's the done thing to put an animal out of it's misery.

As for dogs, can't stand the things. You can't let a toddler run around a park these days without some dumb ass dog off the lead chasing them to the ground. As for the shit everywhere......

Different argument Dr S...

I do believe that euthanasia should be a choice for people to make.. not sure that there would be much opposition from the populous either (especially anyone who had seen a relative or friend die in a prolonged and painful way)

But the question asked was would I treat people the way I suggested a dog should be treated (in essence). . . which is not only pointless, but also ridiculous..

someone abandons a baby on a plane no-one gives a c@*p, old woman chucks a cat in a bin/abandons a dog, the world goes mental. I think folk in this country care more about pets than they do people :?

+1

My dog has never let me down, almost every person i know has.....

Horses for courses... i considered my dog to be part of the family!

There will always be responsible people, that clean up after their dog, and irrisponsable people who don't.

You would be suprised how many people dump their babies nappies on the beach near us :(

But wasn't the baby the result of rape? I understand why the victim did that.
if true
