someone abandons a baby on a plane no-one gives a c@*p,
But wasn't the baby the result of rape? I understand why the victim did that.
if true

I dont understand how someone can do that rape victim or not, if so upset after the event they could have it terminated or if thats something that they don not believe in adoption is another option, i am not taking away what the person went through but in todays age in this country its not an excuse just to dump in a gerden , plane or anything.

Back to the dog now what a w****r should be beat with a stick and then put in a a kennel for a week himself, and heres another one for you then did anyone hear on the fella who fried his girls hamster in the microwave because they had an argument

http://www.manchesterwired.co.uk/news.p ... -microwave

not a universal excuse but some people do have mental health issues

Dogs Trust and Cat Protection League are 2 of the very few orgs worth supporting.. PDSA do a good job too imo..
RSPCA are a poor joke.

Some people shouldn't have the responsibility of another living thing and I do prefer the company of my dogs to most people..

There are more people I'd euthanise than dogs.

And I totally get why some folk can't stand dogs.. but their lives wouldn't be affected by dogs if the owners were responsible ;)

Both my current bow-wows are rescues.

I have rescued a dozen or so so far and helped find homes for many more.

Would never live without a dog around.

Cannot see why anyone buys a dog when there are so many needing homes. They should do more with legislation to stop irresponsible breeding and ownership.

:)

Think hamsters are possibly the worst (readily available) pet in the world but nuking one is just sick..

Our 2 AB's are both rehomes (both from their respective breeders)

1 of the lurchers is a rehome and the other I bought from the breeder but had been sold and she'd been let down a couple of times so a sort of rehome..

I personally feel and have for a long time thought that all animals should require a licence or a permit, some people just shouldnt be allowed to have animals full stop, i know it can present problems in itself but would be the start of giving the people who police it the chance to start clamping down, i also feel that assesments should be mandatory for people who want to buy a dog to see if they are suitable to own that particular breed.

I have an old fella by me see him in the park all the time when walking my dog or taking kids to school who has a staff dog, i dont feel he should have such a dog as he is in ill health himself he walks round on oxygen and can barely walk at that, now i am not saying he shouldnt have a dog period but not that particular breed as in the chance it could turn and become aggressive he is in no fit state to do anything about it

And he has been pulled a few times by the park wardens when in it as he has been known not to pick up after the dogs crapped somewhere but he only ever gets telling off and they feel sorry for the old git and never take it any further.

I agree.

When you rescue a dog they make a home visit if you are new to that particular scheme, and the nominal payment covers that expense to some degree.

I would like to see a large license fee brought in, sufficient to make acquiring a dog much less easy, and also to fund more effective control.

Many people end up buying a dog because they were turned down for rehoming one; with my scheme the same people would not be able to buy one from a breeder as again home visits would be mandatory.

Perhaps such a scheme would be unworkable, but something has to be done.

:)

Licensing schemes and breeding restrictions are, imo, impossible now.

Far too many dogs out there..

And unethical breeders.

Large fee's are also counter-productive since a responsible owner cannot be gauged by the size of their bank balance.
