Aaaaaand we're into the gutter. . . .

So.. back on topic..

DT brass nips (I'll be needing black ones probably) and a Park tool..

Where's the best (read : cheapest) place to buy 'em?

if nickle brass then silver only as black alu

if using alu make sure you use copperslip on the spoke threads to help keep then from seizing iv'e trued 7 year old alu nipped wheels with ease as copper slip was used to help stop electrolitic corrosion  and use halo for coloured as dt are a little over priced for the alu nips as they dont like to sell them

crc for spoke tool you'll proberly need this one in the black size  http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Mode ... elID=17510 hows that :D

I had one of these BITD and recently bought a replacement (lost the old one :-() :

I did not get that either, again in english please dan

I think CK means if nickle brass then only in silver. black will be alu (or other clours) :)

I used halo alloy nip from e-bay. you shave a ounce per wheel with alloy nips

DT do black brass Prolock...

Would brass be a much better option that aluminium, given the choice??

A good wheel builder should be able to make a strong wheel with either. But they all seem to like the brass more
