Ah, there you go - solid irrefutable proof that all their cars are cr4p. What do any of us know, eh?

The fact it is a Honda suggests exactly the opposite. Despite being a supercar, it is a bullet proof motor and an everyday drivable proposition.

Hah! It's a myth. Owned 3 Honda bikes, blew every single one up, the last (CB750F2) nearly bankrupted me - 3 full engine rebuilds inside 30,000miles. After that I went Kawasaki, successfully, then Italian for 20+ years with no major unreliability. In fact the ONLY bikes I ever had major unreliability problems with were the Hondas. (I think we can exclude melting the Laverda clutch drag racing...). I swapped to a Kwak as the CBX1000 (the straight six - lovely sound!) I was supposed to be buying on the Monday (payday) blew the whole LHS of the engine off on the Sunday as the bloke started it up. At that point I gave up on Hondas and realised it wasn't me...

A few years ago, while I was in NY on business, my wife "treated" me to a new lawnmower - A Honda - Half way through the first mow the drive spring fell off, got picked up in the blades and spat through both sides of the neighbour's greenhouse.

Suffice to say, Hondas are persona non grata in this house.

A 1200TS, a Jota, and 2 RGS's. First RGS was the one I smoked the clutch on at the drag strip. Was bored out to 1200 and running big cams / compression / valves / carbs. Stonkingly quick for its day.

come to think of it I did have a 550 cbx blow up on me  no wait
that was me rideing like a prat    doh
loved that bike too

If I had the cash (£4k) for an early S2000, that will rev all day to 9000, I'd get one tomorrow...

Aluminium body, clever Japanese engineering and plenty of smiles per mile!

would you? or would you have a skyline 8)

No Ken... never driven a Skyline - but that Honda is something else... I borrowed one off a mate for a couple of months - they really are that good!

I must have been dreaming that my CRX VTEC was still running like a dream when I sold it with 150k on the clock.

Go back a few years to when Honda starting building cars bigger than Civics and Integras and you'd see the big German manufacturers nervously looking at them and their engineering skills.
