Hi all,
I've lurked around this site for ages and signed up when I thought I was going to get a retro project off the ground. A spell of unemployment meant it never happened though.
Anyway, things are looking better and as a result of looking for a winter commuting hack I've ended up with a Raleigh M-Trax Ti 2000. It's tatty, but I think it'll clean up well.
So, questions: It's come with a 27.0mm seat post but judging by the struggle I had to get it out I'm inclined to think it may need a 26.8. Can anyone confirm this?
Sticking with the seat tube; what size clamp for the front mech would I need - 31.8?
Also, the forks that came with it weigh nearly as much as the frame. Any suggestions on a rigid ahead fork that would suit?
Thanks for reading.
Rob
