New user - trying to trace an old bike model

Retro Newbie
Hi all,

I've just joined the forum and I'm looking for a bit of help/knowledge. I currently ride a Specialised Rockhopper that's a few years old and I'm hankering after a retro bike project.

I had a bike when I was young, and I'm trying to find the model to see if there are still any out there to get hold of, but my memory is a bit vague!

The bike was manufactured towards end of 80's (or even early 90?). I think it was a Cannondale or Scott? The very distinctive thing is that it was a single large boom tube frame, in white if it helps.

I've spent alot of time on search engines but to no avail.

Any help would be appreciated!

Super V?

Thanks for the replies. It was alot older then Super V, it was pre suspension. It may not have been Cannondale! (I know how vague I am being!)

I tried to load those fatalities but with no luck (apple user?) I'll try when I next get to a PC.

Thanks again!

I think that may be it, do you have any more information about it? I remember the frame to be fatter, but that's probably my perspective at the time!

Thanks in advance!

Its an Alpinestar T24 or T26 (T24 had 24" wheels the T26 had.....26" wheels!). There should be a load of info on here for you but start with this:

I am not an alpinestar expert but there are guys on here who are!

I think that there were also other similar, cheaper bikes made by companies like British Eagle but again, others will have to comment.
