Just rebuilt the work bike after a trip to the powder coaters ( ABC of Nailsea...VERY good though you must point out areas you want masked like BB shell threads ) and am well pleased with the " Chocolate+Cream G.W.R. coach " effect....

Just a diminutive 6'6"

Alves are a small Scottish firm of frame builders. The whole bike's Reynolds 531 with Super Touriste main tubes. I bought the frame and fork 5 years ago for around £110 as an attic find. It's been in someone's loft over 20 years...

Excellent workmanship but I've never been a fan of their graphics so for decals I'm going to stick with the G.W.R. theme...

Wow! Beautiful frame and fork mate. Mine's an '88 too.The builder ( as stamped on the fork ) was a " U MaCloed. " It'd be great to see yours built up.
