I thought i would share my new unpainted custom frame with you.

Ive taken some close ups of the welds in their raw unpainted state.

I will update this post as soon as frames back from paintshop and then when ive bolted on the 11 spd Campag group onto it 8)

The man responsible for the hard work and welds, filing and allignment is Andy Robinson, building under the name Creative Metalworks.

lovely.

As a matter of interest, is there a particular reason for choosing columbus tubing?

I just love the ride quality of the Columbus tubes especially the oversized ones used on this frame. The story is that the framebuilder lent me his own bike over winter and it has totally impressed me. So he built me a duplicate of his frame but with my own personal touches like the Paragon Machine Works S-steel dropouts.

Next piccies will be better quality and hopefully of a built bike.

Build up

I finally managed to get all the parts onto the Creative Metalworks frame this week. And got my wheels laced and built up.

Im really happy with the end product :D Its not for the road purists but im a mountain biker at heart and wanted this to reflect the humour that has been seen with MTB's over the years.

It weighs 19 lbs total and behaves very nicely when ridden 8)
