Thanks for the replies and tips guys, yes I know that I'm probably in the honeymoon period but they don't seem as boring as the turbo trainer and I can alternate between the three to vary the training load.

I've found that since coming back to cycling I don't have the confidence to take my hands off the bars when riding so this could well be the answer to getting proper balance back. Jeez it's tough being old :shock:
