Started at 15:50 - frame looked like this. . .

Kids decided to do their interfering thing so I had to stop and rinse down. .

At 17:00 I was left with this..

The 'shadows' from previous stickers indicate it may have been an LE . . . but I don't care

Someone has painted a red anodised Zaskar browney yellow :shock:

Looks like it's not been prepped right either (they should have at least Scotchbrited it) so the paint should come off no problem

What are your plans ?, clean up the anodising and re-sticker ?

It's Ford Focus ST orange.. nice colour in its' own right imo.. but not for this bike.. the pic makes it look a tad drab

No prep at all by the look of it, that ano is bright as a very bright thing

There's some wear and tear that I'm not mad about tbh but I'm going to see how it looks once it's all off.. it is 13 years old after all ..

I'd love to have it red ano and re-sticker... otherwise it'll be powdercoated and re-stickered... but probably black, grey or white.

Ah, right, that is a nice colour, looks brownish on my monitor though

Drain cleaner will get the anodising off if you want to polish it, tons of polished Zaskars about though :roll:

Not polishing it. . . I like them polished but as you say. . . lots about.

Good tip about the drain cleaner though.. committed to the data bank for later use..

Starting to take shape that, and now I see just how poor the prep was on that red ano...

Nitromors is easy on rattle can / poorly prepped paint jobs.

Can be a nightmare on some baked on factory finishes - better off spending a couple of quid on blasting in these cases.

The red ano is cool!

No worries , i used the stuff from B&Q sold in a yellow bottle in the plumbing section, works wonders, it's violent stuff though, rubber gloves and care recommended.

I notice you now have a two tone frame klein fanatics would pay a fortune!

Seriously the Red ano looks nice from a distance, difficult to see from the photo how it is up close..but I would be tempted to keep it!.
